06-12-12: A Day of Rejoicing!

Qavah's Bone Marrow Transplant took place this afternoon at 1:30pm. Qavah was pre-medicated with anti-nausea medicine. The hospital room was prepared with a crash cart, oxygen, doctors, and nurses.  However, none of the "emergency" equipment was needed.  There were no complications!  My mother said that, even before the BMT infusion began, the hospital room was filled with a peace that came from the Lord Himself.  Now, we pray and wait with "hope and patience" as the new blood marrow assimilates into Qavah's body.  That takes about twenty-one days.

Praise to the Lord the almighty the king of creation!
Oh my soul praise Him for He is thine help and salvation!
Let the amen sound from his people again.
Gladly for aye we adore thee.

  1. Yes, yesterday was a day of rejoicing, wasn't it?
Yet when I read this evening about the extreme nausea and resultant inability from previous surgery, and that your dad was back in Roanoke, I worried that your health might have taken a turn for the worse (after all, just the other day we learned you, too, were hospitalized) .... so I decided to "sleuth out" what might be happening by coming to your website.
Qavah needs prayers ... and so does your mother. It has to be killing her to see Qavah undergoing such misery!
Strength ... hope .... peace for each of you! You're all special in His sight!
